Civilization will collapse. What civilization-inheritance are we leaving the next?
Civilization will collapse.
I will not defend this point, either you can face the obvious truth, or you can’t; one day the populations will collapse, the strained social structures evaporate, the men say no to the female run university and corporations and do literally anything else, the dollar hyper inflates. Something, anything.
The next era will be the best one yet.
When Rome fell, what percentage of the population could read?
When the Bronze Age collapsed, were there any highly productive crops?
When the Age before the Bronze was cutting those monolithic stones, were there more books then people?
If you somehow manage to survive the collapse, you will wake up in a world with modern seeds, uncountable books, several recipes for nitrogen fixing, sewing machines, refined metal where the skyscrapers once were, highschool-level science text books and everyone on the earth aware of the 2nd amendment and probably quite eager to stay armed after whatever violence was inflicted.
The civilization-inheritance Rome left for the average peasant was the bible, a few stones roads and a memory that clean water was important and we reached the moon. I believe we are going to leave much more, how far will they go in 300 years?
Good article. Needs more emphasis on sexy vampire novels
